Resumen	The present study evaluated the factor structure and measurement invariance of the Multigroup Ethnic Identity Measurement (MEIM) scale in the older adult population of the Indigenous Andean peoples of Chile. The sample size was of 978 participants with an average age of 71.14 years. The confirmatory factor analysis technique was used to evaluate the two-factor structure, exploration and affirmation, proposed by previous studies. To this evaluation was added the analysis of invariance, restricting criteria for the five Indigenous Andean people according to the configural, metric and partial scalar level. The results of the study showed these three levels of invariance, which implies that the MEIM provides comparable results among the peoples evaluated. This is relevant because it confirms the evidence of the MEIM as a measurement instrument for ethnic identity, in this case in elderly population, which also allows comparing the construct among the Indigenous Andean peoples of northern Chile.El presente estudio evaluó la estructura factorial y la invarianza de medición de la escala de Medición de la Identidad Étnica Multigrupo (MEIM) en la población de adultos mayores indígenas andinos de Chile. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 978 participantes con una edad promedio de 71,14 años. Se utilizó la técnica de análisis factorial confirmatorio para evaluar la estructura de dos factores, exploración y afirmación, propuesta en estudios previos. A esta evaluación se le sumó el análisis de invarianza, restringiendo los criterios para los cinco pueblos indígenas andinos según los niveles configuracional, métrico y escalar parcial. Los resultados del estudio mostraron estos tres niveles de invarianza, lo que implica que la MEIM proporciona resultados comparables entre los pueblos evaluados. Esto es relevante porque confirma la validez de la MEIM como instrumento de medición de la identidad étnica, en este caso en la población de adultos mayores, lo que también permite comparar el constructo entre los pueblos indígenas andinos del norte de Chile.
