Resumen	The Chilean Inland Sea (CIS) and the fjords region in Southern Chile host human activities such as salmon aquaculture. During the productive austral summer, the CIS exchanges heat, salt, dissolved oxygen, and nutrients with the Southern Pacific Ocean via the Guafo Mouth, a very shallow strait. Tides influence the productivity of the CIS, a high-frequency forcing typically not considered in circulation models when estimating exchange fluxes. In this work, the inflow, outflow, net, mass, and nutrient fluxes through the Guafo Mouth are evaluated using a high-resolution regional model forced by tides. Model output (temperature, salinity, and currents) is compared to hydrodynamic data. The impact of tidal forcing on summer-mean currents and transports is quantified. These findings are compared with results from a lower-resolution, commonly used, general circulation model. A Lagrangian modeling approach highlights that the water masses transiting from the open ocean through the Guafo Mouth mainly originate from the region south of the mouth.El Mar Interior Chileno (MIC) y la región de los fiordos del sur de Chile albergan actividades humanas como la acuicultura de salmón. Durante el productivo verano austral, el MIC intercambia calor, sal, oxígeno disuelto y nutrientes con el Océano Pacífico Sur a través de la desembocadura del Guafo, un estrecho muy poco profundo. Las mareas influyen en la productividad del MIC, un forzamiento de alta frecuencia que normalmente no se considera en los modelos de circulación al estimar los flujos de intercambio. En este trabajo, se evalúan los flujos de entrada, salida, netos, de masa y de nutrientes a través de la desembocadura del Guafo utilizando un modelo regional de alta resolución forzado por mareas. Los resultados del modelo (temperatura, salinidad y corrientes) se comparan con datos hidrodinámicos. Se cuantifica el impacto del forzamiento mareal en las corrientes y transportes promedio de verano. Estos hallazgos se comparan con los resultados de un modelo de circulación general de menor resolución, comúnmente utilizado. Un enfoque de modelado lagrangiano destaca que las masas de agua que transitan desde el océano abierto a través de la desembocadura del Guafo se originan principalmente en la región al sur de la desembocadura.
