Resumen	A biopurification system based on the adsorption and degradation capacity of a biomixture to degrade a mixture of pesticides (atrazine, chlorpyrifos, iprodione, 50 mg kg(-1) each) in repeated applications (0, 30, and 60 days) was evaluated. Tanks of 1 m(3) packed with a biomixture (rho 0.29 g mL(-1)) with and without vegetal cover were used. The biomixture contained soil, peat, and wheat straw in a proportion 1:1:2 by volume, respectively. Pesticide concentrations, biological activities (urease, phenoloxidase, and dehydrogenase), and microbial community changes (DGGE and qPCR) were evaluated periodically. Pesticide dissipation was higher in tanks with vegetal cover (> 95%) and no variation was observed after the three applications, contrarily, pesticide dissipation decreased in the tank without vegetal cover after each application. The presence of vegetal cover decreased the half-life of pesticides by at least twice. Biological activities were in general not affected by the application and reapplication of pesticides in the same treatment, however, they exhibited some differences between tanks containing and lacking the vegetal cover. High similarity between microbial groups (actinobacteria, bacteria, and fungi) was observed, suggesting no influence ascribable to the successive pesticide applications. The number of copies of bacteria and actinobacteria remained almost constant during the assay. However, the number of copies of fungi was significantly higher in the uncontaminated tank without vegetal cover. Se evaluó un sistema de biopurificación basado en la capacidad de adsorción y degradación de una biomezcla para degradar una mezcla de plaguicidas (atrazina, clorpirifos, iprodiona, 50 mg kg(-1) cada uno) en aplicaciones repetidas (0, 30 y 60 días). Se utilizaron tanques de 1 m(3) llenos de una biomezcla (rho 0,29 g mL(-1)) con y sin cobertura vegetal. La biomezcla contenía tierra, turba y paja de trigo en una proporción 1:1:2 en volumen, respectivamente. Se evaluaron periódicamente las concentraciones de plaguicidas, las actividades biológicas (ureasa, fenoloxidasa y deshidrogenasa) y los cambios en la comunidad microbiana (DGGE y qPCR). La disipación de plaguicidas fue mayor en los tanques con cobertura vegetal (> 95%) y no se observó variación después de las tres aplicaciones, por el contrario, la disipación de plaguicidas disminuyó en el tanque sin cobertura vegetal después de cada aplicación. La presencia de cobertura vegetal disminuyó la vida media de los plaguicidas al menos dos veces. En general, las actividades biológicas no se vieron afectadas por la aplicación y reaplicación de pesticidas en el mismo tratamiento sin embargo, se observaron algunas diferencias entre los tanques con y sin cubierta vegetal. Se observó una alta similitud entre los grupos microbianos (actinobacterias, bacterias y hongos), lo que sugiere que no existe influencia atribuible a las sucesivas aplicaciones de pesticidas. El número de copias de bacterias y actinobacterias se mantuvo prácticamente constante durante el ensayo. Sin embargo, el número de copias de hongos fue significativamente mayor en el tanque no contaminado sin cubierta vegetal.
